Description
SAIC is seeking an Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Subject Matter Expert to support the US Air Force Command and Control Support Services (C2TSC) program at the Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC) at Kirtland AFB, NM. (This is an onsite position at Kirtland, no remote option).
The SME shall support planning meetings, develop, and execute test plans, develop scenarios, and ensure internal systems are functional prior to event execution. During execution, the SME shall bring credible expertise in IAMD mission areas for white force execution, operation of high-side environment generators, operation of virtual systems identified in government directions document, interact and be familiar with Air Operations Center support, and participate in scenario review to ensure desired exercise learning objectives are achievable.
DMOC is the premier unit responsible for implementing Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) exercises for the US Air Force, including Joint and Coalition Modeling and Simulation (M&S) training. C2TSC is responsible for designing, building, and executing the Large Force LVC Exercises. C2TSC integrates legacy and emerging M&S solutions across the USAF and the DoD. They provide cutting edge tactical to operational simulation and synthetic training as the critical capability to augment live training, act as an enabler for critical decision-making, and enhanced human performance. In the current resource constrained environment, demand for M&S rises with the continuously evolving need for operational readiness and mission preparedness across the USAF, DoD, and with coalition partners. C2TSC focuses on providing innovative M&S services as the key to meeting this demand.
The IAMD Subject Matter Expert will:
- Translate operational Air Defense Artillery (ADA) training requirements into exercise design, build, and execution.
- Support requirements definition for Virtual and Constructive simulations, scenario generation tools, mission planning tools, interactive system requirements, and exercise collaboration tools.
- Work with system engineers to plan, coordinate support for, and execute system integration testing and will operate selected constructive simulators, within the DMOC, to support site/system integration and Virtual Flag/other exercise scenario executions.
- Cover all US Air and Missile Defense mission areas with regards to exercise planning, development, and execution to support warfighter training requirements across the joint services and coalition partners.
- Interface with other mission SMEs, from other weapons systems, to form a theater level exercise that integrate the missions and represent the challenges facing the DoD today and in the future.
- Support three Virtual Flags, with one Virtual Flag involving coalition partners, and two Bamboo Eagle exercises annually, as well as specialize warfighter focused events, C2 weapons school training, and other events with specialized training objectives.
- Integrate training objectives with the framework of military networks, Combat Air Force Standards, disparate simulator protocols, and connectivity requirements within the Distributed Mission Operations construct.
