Instructional Systems Designers perform duties associated with designing, planning, and developing technical training curricula to meet specific training needs. This position encompasses analyzing learning needs through validation and the sustainment of the curricula.
Qualifications
Candidates for these positions must have, as a minimum, a baccalaureate degree in instructional systems design or an equivalent degree field, from an accredited college or university, six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) year or more experience; PhD and 0 years experience and at least three years of experience in instructional systems design. College curricula must include work in the areas of instructional systems design, learning theory, instructional methods, statistics, research methodology, tests and measurement, cognitive or educational psychology and educational evaluation.
The candidates must have knowledge in course design and development, utilizing Instructional Systems Designs or other training system methodology. They must be able to demonstrate knowledge of outcomes-based instruction, behavior modeling, experiential training design, storyboard development, course evaluation, and extensive experience in e-learning design and training development. They must have experience working with computer support, video technology, distance learning, and other state of the art technologies in course and media design.
US Citizenship required.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
