SAIC is seeking a forward-thinking Instruction Systems Analyst to join an integrated team conducting a Training System Requirements Analysis (TSRA) at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH.
(Please note all qualified candidates MUST HAVE TSRA EXPERIENCE and a Top Secret Clearance)
The analysis and recommendations will directly shape the future training systems for specialized Air Force Aircraft Maintainers and Controllers, ensuring alignment with competency-based training models, learning engineering principles and evolving training methodologies.
The Instructional Systems Analyst will:
Develop & Assess Training Programs: Evaluate Air Force Aircraft Operations & Maintenance training programs to align with mission needs, competency frameworks, and evolving learning methodologies.
Integrate and analyze task analysis inputs from multiple vendors, perform DIF analysis, and translate results into training requirements, learning objectives, and curriculum structure.
Refine and expand Training System Requirements Analysis (TSRA) documents: Conduct detailed training needs assessments, define training system requirements, and support the development of competency-driven training solutions.
Simulation & Emerging Training Technologies: Research and integrate future simulation-based training technologies into course design, aligning with adaptive learning methodologies and media selection criteria.
Guide vendors in developing curriculum and media, ensuring products align with instructional standards, TSRA outputs, and government program requirements.
Course Content Validation: Work alongside SMEs and government stakeholders to review, validate, and refine course materials ensuring compliance with training standards and Air Force operational needs.
Collaboration & Strategy Development: Engage with instructional system developers, training engineers, and Air Force functional organizations to enhance learning strategies and course effectiveness.
Support LMS and training solution evaluation efforts by gathering requirements, comparing platform capabilities, and preparing findings for government review.
Qualifications
Required Education, Experience, Skills, & Attributes:
- A bachelor's degree and 10 years or relevant years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience in Instructional Systems Design (ISD), Learning Engineering, or Training Systems Engineering.
- Experience developing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) training programs, including simulator-based training, mission scenarios, or operator proficiency.
- Collaboration skills for working with a multidisciplinary team, including system administrators, engineers, and SMEs.
- Prior experience as an instructor, or training developer, gap and task analysis.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and actively possess Top-Secret Clearance.
Desired Experience, Skills, & Attributes:
- A master's degree and 10 years or more of related experience.
- Strong background in competency-based training development and validation.
- Familiarity with corporate and Air Force training methodologies, competency frameworks, and assessment models.
- Knowledge of government training environments, policies, and network security considerations.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
