SAIC is seeking a Facilities Engineer with facilities expertise and executive-level briefing experience to support our mission in Chantilly, VA. This position requires an active TS/SCI with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph and requires a daily start on-site between 0530-0600.
The program the candidate would be joining provides full-service facility management support to a major organization in the Intelligence community. The program conducts end-to-end project management and facility engineering functions for locations around the globe.
In this role, you will serve as an interface between the on-site government facilities management organizations and the Headquarters leadership team on all matters related to facility operations, maintenance, and anomaly reporting. When changes occur, both planned and unplanned, to the baseline at any of the facilities across the globe, senior decision makers and mission planners need to be made aware of how these changes impact the mission of the organization. It is the responsibility of the person in this position to ensure these changes are properly tracked, communicated, and eventually closed out.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Validating facility reports for accuracy and completeness.

Tracking down unanswered or unclear information.

Liaising with senior Government officials and other offices on all facilities matters.

Escalating issues when necessary.

Creating and maintaining innovative and novel ways to visualize facilities infrastructure.
Qualifications
Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
Bachelor's Degree in relevant degree field and fifteen (15) years or more of related experience; Masters and thirteen (13) years or more experience; PhD or JD and ten (10) years or more experience.
Relevant professional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
A minimum of 10 years of experience with facility operations, facilities project management, or facilities program management
Basic knowledge of the government organization and method of conducting business
Knowledge of facility operations & maintenance activities and procedures
Knowledge and experience with electrical and mechanical systems used in facility operations
Understanding of critical facilities infrastructure and the ability to assess reliability based on reviewing historical data, reports, or interviewing technical/non-technical personnel familiar with such assets or components (i.e. power generators, utility production and distribution, chilled water plants, electrical distribution components, data centers, etc.)
