SAIC is seeking an Executive Support Specialist located at Camp Smith in Hawaii to support the USINDOPACOM J7 Director as an advisor and principal analyst to review materials for accuracy prior to submission to the Director, production of Director Summaries or talking points, and to ensure executive support functions support the Director's activities.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Support the J7 Director (Flag or General Officer) by drafting, coordinating, implementing, and interpreting senior leader executive correspondence.
· Serve as the primary aid to the J7 Director for executive support functions including review of staff packages, issue papers, preparatory reading and presentation materials.
· Support the J7 executive office with ability to independently draft responses to information requests and proactively act on priority tasking.
· Plan and coordinate schedules, demonstrating leadership and professional maturity to build vital relationships, foster trust and credibility across all levels, address situations with urgency and understanding, and maintain a calm, organized environment.
· Leverage independent judgment, initiative, and tact to make administrative decisions, resolve issues, and escalate matters to the appropriate areas while enhancing standardization, implement processes, improve efficiency, and solve problems.
· Research, prioritize, and follow up on incoming issues and concerns and determines appropriate course of action, referral, and/or response.
· Partner with key administrative staff across the USINDOPACOM headquarters and provides a bridge for smooth communication with other organizations and headquarters.
· Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelors and ten (10)+ years of related experience; additional four (4) years' experience accepted in lieu of degree.
· Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) I or equivalent experience working in a Joint or operational military headquarters.
· Basic understanding of the Joint Training Exercise and Evaluation Program (JTEEP).
· Familiarity with the USINDOPACOM mission and area of responsibility.
· Experience with professional writing, to include proofreading and editing organizational directives, orders, policies, instructions, and technical documents.
· Excellent calendar management skills, including the coordination of complex executive-level meetings, and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Teams.
· Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently. Sound judgment and ability to manage through disagreements and conflict to achieve resolution.
· Ability to remain calm under pressure, effectively manage new/shifting responsibilities and priorities, and handle multiple, complex tasks at any given time.
· Ability to tolerate stress and be adaptable, flexible, persistent, versatile and handle multiple projects and re-prioritizations.
· Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and use of common sense to anticipate and resolve challenges or obstacles resourcefully with diplomacy, efficiency and timeliness.
· Ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders with professional maturity, confidentiality and discretion.
· Demonstrates flexibility and a positive attitude, with a willingness to take on additional assignments and work beyond core hours when needed.
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
· Must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance; SAIC will help to obtain.
· Must have current US Citizenship.
Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
