The Engineering Technician VI position will support the assembly and integration of analog and digital cables for use in systems in the realm of signal processing, information processing, and display processing on Surface and subsurface UUVs (Unmanned Underwater Vehicles). Assemblies include coaxial cables, RF connectors, and electrical cables, ribbons, combined with complex connectors/in-outs. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, work environment.
This role is located in San Diego, CA.
JOB DUTIES:
- Assembly of digital and analog cables and connectors
- Testing of digital and analog cables and connectors
- Assembly and integration of electromechanical components
- System assembly and testing of payload assemblies, training equipment, and kit packaging
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have an Active SECRET clearance
- Minimum of 8 years of experience with manufacturing and testing of analog, digital, and Radio Frequency (RF) circuits/systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in soldering, crimping, and manufacture of RF, analog, and digital wires.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Hand soldering certification and/or training
- Cable and wire harness assembly certification and/or training (IPC-A-620)
