This position is in support of the Department of State as a part of the Vanguard 2.2.1 contract. The candidate will be responsible for the development and deployment plans for all Hosted Infrastructure - Deployment software and hardware releases. The candidate will support the continuing goal of incorporating these innovative technologies into the Department's program.

This role is onsite in Springfield, VA.

Description of Duties:  

• Execute the duties and responsibilities as a member of the Hosted Infrastructure (HI) Virtual Infrastructure Team (VI) at the Department of State Diplomatic Technology (DT) bureau.   
• Coordinating with engineering and QA teams to ensure that the software meets all requirements.
• Executing deployments on time and with minimal disruption to users.
• Monitoring the system during and after deployment to ensure that it is functioning properly.
• Managing all aspects of the end-to-end release process.
• Updating service knowledge management system.
• Ensuring teams follow the organization's established policies and procedures.
• Providing management reports on release progress.
• Communicating, preparing and training stakeholders.
• Managing a support team that performs most of the day-to-day work.
• Assisting the Program Manager and the deployment team members in planning each release.
• Heavy data entry for multiple projects 
• Heavy dependency on MS outlook, MS Team, and ServiceNow
• Work directly with program personnel and customers when items need to be addressed. 
• Perform various administrative duties that will vary by assigned program.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with good attention to detail
• Scheduling and monitoring tasks to ensure timely completion

Qualifications

Required Experience & Education:

• Bachelor's degree and 3-4 years of experience; or Masters and 1-2 years; may accept additional experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience working on system integration projects.  
• Experience working with customers to capture/document requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Microsoft O365 products.

Required Clearance:

• US Citizen.
• Active secret clearance or higher.

Desired Experience/Skills/Attributes:  

•  Knowledge of or familiar with ServiceNow
• Familiar with change management processes
• Experience in task management
• Familiar with networking technology
• ITIL certification
