We're looking for a Cloud Engineer to join STG Delivery and grow their skills across the full lifecycle of cloud infrastructure. This role is a great fit for someone early in their cloud/infra career who's eager to learn, take on increasing responsibility, and build a strong foundation for future growth. This role is a hybrid opportunity and candidates must sit in Texas with the ability to go onsite 2-3 days a week.
What You'll Do
- Build and support — Help design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure under the guidance of senior team members.
- Contribute to ownership — Take on well-scoped pieces of larger projects, with support from senior engineers as complexity increases.
- Automate — Write and maintain infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipeline components to reduce manual work across the team.
- Troubleshoot — Assist in diagnosing and resolving infrastructure issues, and participate in incident response as part of the team.
- Collaborate — Work with engineers across assigned programs to deliver solutions that meet technical and business needs.
- Learn and grow — Actively develop your technical skills through pairing, code reviews, and hands-on project work.
- Find your voice — Participate in architecture discussions and team planning, building toward more independent technical contributions over time.
Qualifications
- Bachelors' degree and 2 years of experience. 4 additional years can be used in lieu of degree
- Candidates must be U.S. Citizens
- Candidates must have an interim Secret clearance to start
- 2 years of experience in cloud infrastructure/platform engineering (internships, personal projects, or professional experience all count).
- Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, or similar).
- Basic understanding of containerization concepts (Kubernetes, ECS, or equivalent).
- Willingness to troubleshoot problems and ask good questions along the way.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (required on day one)
- Proximity and ready access to a SIPR facility (required on day one)
