SAIC is currently seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Backup Recovery Engineer with at least 4-years of Commvault experience to join our team in Arlington, VA, supporting the DISA-JSP customer.
Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 to 5:00 PM core hours with occasional after hours' onsite work to support NIPR, SIPR, JWICS, and TS environments.
Position Overview:
- Experience in implementing solution designs and operating environments that are compliant with all Federal and DoD guidance and policies.
- Experience in implementing software and hardware solutions.
- Experience in Backup/Recovery provisioning and scheduling.
- Experience in establishing information systems requirements using analysis of the system engineers to develop enterprise-wide information systems design in an environment similar in size and scope.
- Experience in estimating and sizing implementation efforts (ie., cost, performance, capacity, manageability, scalability, etc.) for Backup/Recovery systems.
- Demonstrate ability to build, deploy and maintain enterprise-level Backup/Recovery systems for enterprise-wide COOP environment, and use an application framework to provide best practice solutions for real world business needs.
- Possess experience in enterprise backup/recovery system and applications like CommVault Simpana and IBM Spectrum Protect.
Qualifications
- Active DOD Top Secret clearance; Ability to obtain a TS/SCI required to maintain employment.
- Possess DoD 8570.01-M/DoD 8140 Certification IAW established mandate prior to start of work – IAT Level II required (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP); IAT Level III is desirable (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH). Applicants not meeting this requirement will not be considered.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or at least five (5) years of equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
