SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Application Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality Java microservices using the Spring Boot framework. Additionally, the role involves architecting scalable and reliable microservices utilizing a Java rules engine with the MVEL language.
Directly supporting the Business Master File Modernization (BMF Mod) which is one of multiple programs created to modernize the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) legacy Tax processing systems and is critical to the IRS IT Application Development (AD) and IRS IT Enterprise Service (ES) organizations' goal to support the objectives of the IRS IT Modernization Business Plan. BMF Mod's initiative will modernize IRS systems and processes, improve taxpayer experience, increase voluntary compliance, and reduce the Service's reliance on costly and unsustainable legacy technology.
Qualifications
Required:
- BS and 9 years of experience with architectural frameworks and application design.
- Active IRS MBI Clearance
- Proven expertise as a Java/Digital Core Developer with at least 10 years of experience in the following areas:
- Designing, developing, and implementing Java-based microservices using the Spring Boot framework.
- Building and testing microservices using a Java rules engine with MVEL (business rules/Java pseudo-code).
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and design innovative Java plugins and microservices.
- Architecting and designing scalable and reliable Java microservices to meet complex business requirements.
- Working with Data Fabric Platform on AWS.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
