SAIC has an immediate need for an Aerospace Subject Matter Expert, to work on Redstone Arsenal, to support U.S. Army Aviation Programs, with a primary focus on rotary-wing aircraft.  
Hybrid Remote with ability to travel to Huntsville, AL. 
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ROLES:
•    Will interface with the UH Project Office on procurement activities daily. 
•    Will work with customer management to understand and implement these activities.
•    Provide technical leadership and expertise in flight dynamics, stability and control, and aircraft performance to support the development and integration, testing, and sustainment of models for military helicopter platforms.
•    Will support analysis, modeling, simulation, and evaluation of flight characteristics across multiple Army aviation platforms.
•    Lead and support flight testing planning, execution, and data analysis for rotary-wing systems.
•    Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
•    Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
•    Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
•    Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Responsible for ensuring contract requirements and subcontractor responsibilities are being accomplished including working on the definition and implementation of project planning techniques to provide visibility on the contract.
•    Responsibilities may include developing budgets and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements for an assigned portion of a program, participating in and establishing and defining program plan requirements, and monitoring and reporting performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met. Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and eighteen (18) years or more experience.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:  
•    BS degree in Aerospace and eighteen (18) years or more of related experience

REQUIRED SKILLS:
•    Expertise in UH-60 A/L/M/V operations, Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA), Launched Effects (LE), Scalable Control Interface (SCI), and Degraded Visual Environment (DVE).
•    Experience in flight dynamics, stability & control, or related discipline.
•    Demonstrated expertise in rotary-wing aircraft dynamics and handling qualities.
•    Proficiency with modeling and simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink)
•    Strong understanding of military standards related to flying qualities (ADS-33)
•    Experience with flight test data analysis and validation
•    Experience with control law development or flight control systems.
•    Senior-level leader skilled at overseeing operations focusing on training and development, regulatory standards, inventory management, and employee management.

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
•    Active Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
