SAIC is seeking an Action Officer with an active security clearance to support the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E)), specifically the Critical Technology Office (CTO). This role supports the development and maintenance of work products that enable effective management decision-making, strategic planning, initiative definition, action tracking, and meeting/workshop execution.
The position is located in Arlington, VA
Job Duties Include:
- Develop and document frameworks that distill complex issues into clear courses of action for senior-level decision-making.
- Track actions and tasks to timely closure; escalate when deadlines are at risk.
- Facilitate project, initiative, and major work effort planning meetings.
- Project, initiative, major work effort planning and management.
- Develop executive level status and summary briefings.
- Develop planning artifacts including but not limited to statements of work, charters, schedules, and Gantt charts.
- Gather information; articulate, analyze, and solve problems; visualize and present information; and provide decision support to achieve mission outcomes.
- Create and manage communications for the enterprise, group, and individuals including meeting agendas, briefings, and meeting minutes.
- Develop weekly reports on significant activities, report on the effectiveness of events and processes.
- Organize and facilitate internal and external communications on a wide array of subjects including internal and external tasks, program reviews, meetings, congressional events, invitations, speaking events, and resources.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- US citizenship.
- Bachelor's degree and fifteen (15) years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree and thirteen (13) years of experience.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, flexibility, initiative, and ability to work effectively with senior executives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including producing white papers, briefings, correspondence, and reports.
- Strong organizational, team-building, and interpersonal skills.
- Extensive experience within the Pentagon - OSW, Joint Staff, or other high-level organization.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree.
- Strong knowledge of OSW-level organizational structure and understanding of the National Defense Strategy and DoW Modernization areas.
- Graduate of a Senior Service College.
