SAIC has an immediate opening for an Acquisitions Systems Engineer (SETA). We are seeking an adept professional with customer acquisition planning and contract execution experience, and the ability to assess the health of contracts in execution, to support their efforts in planning and executing acquisitions within the organization. The successful candidate will bring experience with developing acquisition approaches, understanding contract types and how to use them to meet acquisition objectives, and drafting artifacts to enable a successful acquisition. Knowledge of the customer's budget lifecycle and how it impacts planning and contract execution is needed. 

Qualifications

• Must currently have a TS/SCI and Poly
• Minimum of 11 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree.  Experience can be substituted for a degree.
• Experience with the customer's acquisition lifecycle process to help support various projects from inception to completion.
• Knowledge of contract types used by the Government and which ones to use to achieve a particular customer outcome for acquisitions.
• Ability to help craft acquisition approaches and artifacts to include eliciting and capturing requirements, prioritizing them, and flowing them into documents (e.g. SSJs, SOWs, etc)
• Strong Government programmatic experience helping the customer drive success in all their activities by providing sound advice on contract execution
• Fundamental understanding of the Government's budget lifecycle, how to develop program plans and allocate resources, then track top level project execution against the plan
• Ability to conduct contract cost analysis and forecast funding needs in accordance with the customer's resource management policies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines

 

Desired:

• Prior COTR/CO or similar contractor experience in Government environments
