About the Job:

Type: Full time, Permanent

Wage: $50,000/ yearly

Shifts: Monday - Friday swing shift: Days (6:30am - 2:30pm) & Afternoons (2:30pm - 10:30pm) With some Saturday overtime

Location: St Catharines General Motors Facility

Summary

The Material Follow-up Shipping Coordinator is responsible to manage the receiving docks inbound and outbound paperwork and communicating to our Customer directly on issues that may arise during shift. The Operations Clerk also coordinates the flow of racks utilized for our customer's production providing counts and communication to the carrier and suppliers. Essential Functions

  • Responsible to receive inbound and place outbound calls
  • Customer Contact with other GM plants
  • Track Consignment outbound material
  • Create outbound paperwork including customs documents
  • Track and report inbound shipments
  • Perform standard transportation management procedures

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Understand computer hardware and software, especially word processing, spreadsheets, and email, intermediate
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions and work assignments

Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma/GED required
  • One (1) year or more customer service or call center experience required
