The Data Developer IV position provides specialized technical expertise associated with developing and maintaining tools/models related to Enterprise Data Analytics or Master Data Solutions.

As part of the EIM Organization, the Data Developer IV will perform a variety of job functions, including, but not limited to: business requirements analysis, data analysis & profiling, development in on-prem and cloud platforms, architecture and naming standards, testing (unit, system and user testing support), integration, tool performance testing, scalability review, design documentation, migration planning, upgrade and implementation planning. This position would lead minor enhancements and small RCEs. A person in this role will also mentor other team members in data integration and database tools.

This individual will collaborate with fellow team members of the Enterprise Information Management (EIM) organization to support the BI/Analytics implementations, governance processes and controls, in collaboration with the Data Stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Gather requirements, profile data and support data integration or BI tools related to projects and maintain accurate design documents. Participate and influence design sessions, to ensure the data quality standards are met in the development of solutions surrounding data lineage, data structures, data visualization. Responsible for timely status communication on project related tasks. Responsible for identifying and addressing risks and impediments related to EIM solutions. Share responsibilities with other team members, on projects, to ensure on-time product delivery and post implementation support.

Lead analysis, design, technical guidance, and impact analysis on projects. Ensure that design meets functional requirements and performance expectations, on MEs and small RCEs. Conduct structured design sessions and/or walk-through design sessions with customers/Ryder IT teams. Partner with Technical Leads and other project team members to identify and understand source systems to meet business requirements.

Monitor and support business partners related to EIM processes and standards. Share responsibilities with other team members, on all support activities including: user requests, production support and post implementation support, within standard SLAs. Assists users with the isolation and resolution of data quality related issues by leading root-cause analysis providing options for resolution and recommendations.

Identify process improvement recommendations, based on lessons learned and Enterprise Data Management industry trends research.

Implement appropriate technical approaches to improve data quality and integration solutions in order to produce accurate, efficient, and governed data results and reporting capabilities.

Maintain accuracy of design and support documentation, in compliance to Ryders Data Strategy standards

• Foster and maintain good relationships with our business partners, data stewards and IT colleagues to meet expected customer service.

• Provides support for functional testing to ensure that business requirements are being met while following technical standards.

• Research and recommend new tools and technologies to gain efficiencies and enable functionalities.

• Reviews current functionality and processes and recommends process and system improvement.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor's degree - Degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information System, Engineering or related experience.

Experience

Four (4) years or more in Data Integration as SSIS, Info PowerCenter or BI as MicroStragy and PowerBi

Four (4) years or more Data Warehousing /Analytics or Master Data Management Implementation

Four (4) years or more In advanced SQL scripts in SQL server and relational databases

Three (3) years or more In production support

two (2) years or more In minor enhancement project leadership

Skills and Abilities

Possesses strong technical aptitude

Demonstrated skills in data analysis/profiling, data management, data integration and project life-cycle management

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).

Strong business acumen required to better understand business needs and develop value added solutions.

Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment

Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills

Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices

Knowledge

Strong working knowledge of SSIS, Oracle, Informatica PowerCenter, SQL Server, SQL, Shell Scripting and enterprise scheduling tools.

Modern cloud based data warehouse platforms and data lake technologies, for example: Snowflake, Informatica Cloud and Azure Data Factory or Azure Data Lake Store.
