Description

RWJBarnabas Health, New Jersey's largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, seeks an Addiction Medicine Physician for a full-time position at our location in Neptune, NJ. This position will be split between primary care and addiction medicine.

Our primary care hubs include a team of well-established providers, a robust support staff, rotating specialists, pharmacists, and behavioral health providers. The position provides ample opportunities for developing and enhancing clinical and administrative skills, leadership abilities, and personal development.

RWJBarnabas Health offers competitive compensation to physicians including:

  • Base salary with annual bonus potential for quality/performance metrics
  • Potential Signing-Bonus
  • Current Family Medicine Resident Stipend*

*Please note that current trainees can earn up to $24,000 with the residency stipend program if they choose to join RWJBH during the final year of residency!

Successful candidates must be

  • BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • BC/BE in Addiction Medicine
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of NJ
  • Experienced physicians and new graduates are encouraged to apply

  • Collaborate with primary care physicians to schedule patients promptly at designated outpatient offices and other offices as the employer needs
  • Provide comprehensive care for addiction and substance-related disorders, diagnosing, treating,

and preventing them in assigned patients. Provide bio-social medical care for addiction, substance-related conditions, and harmful substance use

  • Expected to perform employment services with the utmost professional and ethical standards, ensuring the highest quality of care and maintaining patient trust
  • Educate patients, family members, and caregivers
