Title: Physical Therapist (Per Diem)

Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Physical Therapy Time Type: Part time Weekly Hours: 4 FTE: 0.1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Designs and implements treatment programs to maximize functional independence; evaluates the efficacy of the programs; evaluates and treats patients with cancer-related disabilities; provides instruction to patients and caretakers in preparation for therapy and discharge; documents interventions and communications with health professionals; participates in educational programs; supervises physical therapy clinical interns and physical therapy assistants as needed. Characteristic of the position is the short, unscheduled notice associated with reporting for duty, the variable nature of the hours worked per payroll period and temporary nature of appointments to this title and the fact that this is a non-benefit earning title.This is a per diem position. The total hourly rate is $42.99, which includes the base hourly rate and geographical differential. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience
License Requirement
License to practice as a physical therapist in the State of New York.
Education and Experience
1. Doctorate degree from an approved physical therapy program; or
2. Master's degree from an approved physical therapy program and the equivalent of one (1) year of full time experience in physical therapy or a related field; or
3. Bachelor's degree from an approved physical therapy program and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in physical therapy or a related field.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate should have previous experience in a acute care/oncology setting, strong time management skills, and written/oral communication skills.
