Title: Executive Secretary Company: Roswell Park Cancer Institute Department: Education- Assistant Director Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 37.5 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Contributes to the administrative and educational activities of an academic office at a healthcare and research organization in support of graduate medical education programs, medical and allied health student rotations, graduate degree programs, and summer internships. Performs more complex administrative, clerical, and general office duties of a highly confidential nature; transcribes, types, maintains records and files, distributes mail; performs telephone reception; welcomes and directs on-site visitors; duplicates and distributes photocopies; routes faxes; revises work assignments at various subordinate levels to enhance administrative support efforts and meet department objectives; participates in the team or group work activities in the office; performs the above duties and responsibilities in a considerably complex and confidential environment requiring little or no supervision with broad latitude for utilizing judgment and initiative. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience
Promotional Qualification RequirementsTwo (2) years of permanent full-time service in a secretarial title allocated to a Grade 5 or above.
Open Competitive Qualification Requirements1. Associate's degree and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time secretarial or related experience; or2. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time secretarial or related experience.
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
