Regular Company: Roswell Park Cancer Institute Department: Molecular & Cellular Biology Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: The Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology seeks outstanding cancer researchers at any faculty rank. Appointment will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Candidates must have a PhD, MD, or equivalent degrees and the ability to direct an independent research program exploring important elements of cancer biology.

The Roswell Park Cancer Center has a long and distinguished history of excellence in basic and translational research. The institute supports a dynamic and highly collaborative scientific environment. The Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology is dedicated to solving fundamental problems in cancer biology. Research within the Department encompasses defining mechanisms of cancer etiology, metastatic progression, therapeutic response, and the complexity of the overall cancer phenotype. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience

The candidate much have a PhD or MD degree in an appropriate scientific or clinical-based discipline and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in an applicable scientific or clinical research environment.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will have At least two years of cancer-relevant postdoctoral research and a track record of outstanding scientific accomplishment(s). This candidate should also have the ability to direct an independent research program exploring important elements of cancer biology.
