River Valley Counseling Center, Inc. is looking to hire a Full-Time CCBHC Peer Specialists / Recovery coach to provide safe and effective care as a team member part of the Integrated Health Care Teams (IHCT). Some of the duties/responsibilities include the following: To competently provide or assist in providing information and referral services for CCBHC and recovery related consumer services. To provide emotional support, supportive referrals, support system building and assist with adherence issues for medical care. To work one-on-one with clients and, when necessary with their families, when family dialogue will benefit. To assist individuals and/or families in completing applications or various paperwork related to life management; i.e., medical coverage, housing, disability, etc., when necessary and in a timely manner. To assist with outreach services for CCBHC program participants in using and accessing needed community and medical services, including arranging or providing transportation. To support CCBHC clients# recovery efforts. To teach and support harm reductions strategies. To assist in providing education to program participants and families/significant others concerning CCBHC transmission and risk reduction in accordance with appropriate age-related guidelines. To facilitate peer support groups and individual support for medication adherence issues. In addition, to organize and maintain or assist in maintaining client records in accordance with RVCC procedures, requirements of any applicable funding source, and appropriate regulatory guidelines. To ensure that client rights and confidentiality of information is maintained at all times. To provide peer support to individuals and families who use program services by being on-site at assigned community health centers, assisting in communication between program and staff and attending appropriate meetings as directed or assigned. To communicate effectively with individuals of all ages and cultural backgrounds. To be accountably for learning such as collaborating with immediate supervisor in identifying own strengths and weaknesses in an on-going evaluation process, maintaining and improving current knowledge through self-directed study and/or workshops and attending mandatory in-services and updates as assigned or directed. To assist in maintenance and care of department supplies and equipment. To use time constructively and organize assigned work for maximum productivity. Maintain a flexible approach to change necessitated by external or internal forces. To keep supervisor informed of activities within area of responsibility and to communicate needs on a timely and routine basis. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school graduate or equivalent; some technical training preferred Experience: Three months experience working with CCBHC clients preferred. # **HOT JOB**
