Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have opportunities for Supply Chain Coordinators in our truck, rail, marine, logistics, or packaged products supply and demand teams within the Winnipeg Transportation Department. Supply Chain Coordinators are a key component in the successful execution of Richardson's transportation of commodity goods to end-use customers globally. Successful candidates will support the management of day-to-day and longer-term planning activities for the network of Richardson grain handling facilities and processing plants and will be responsible for one or more of the areas listed below.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate grain truck and railcar deliveries for processing plants and end-use customers

  • Collaborate with Merchants to manage grain sales and purchase contracts

  • Handle bulk grain sales and execute export shipments by ocean cargo vessel

  • Prepare export documentation and analyze freight rates, including negotiating rates

  • Interact regularly with trucking companies, railways, vessel owners, service providers, agencies, customers, and internal teams like merchandising, operations, accounting, quality assurance

  • Analyze data and collaborate with Sales to maintain demand forecasting within target KPI's

  • Plan and position finished goods across the distribution network, balancing capacity constraints while maintaining targeted inventory levels

Qualifications:

  • Recent graduate with a degree/diploma in logistics, supply chain management, agriculture, international business, finance, or agribusiness

  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Experience in transportation, logistics, agribusiness, or similar roles is considered an asset
