Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable Forklift Operator to support our shipping, receiving, and inventory operations. This role ensures products are moved, stored, and loaded safely, accurately, and on time—helping us deliver high‑quality product to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and related equipment to load/unload trucks and move materials.
- Transport products, pallets, and supplies using forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Pull product from Alvey and Tote stations and place in designated warehouse areas.
- Use scanners to record inventory and follow all SOPs for storing and loading.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
- Update labels using the Markem printer and input required data.
- Supply WIP product and inspect totes; label defective product as needed.
- Review production schedules and ensure supplies are ready for the next shift.
- Safely scrap cardboard and operate the compactor per procedures.
- Hand‑palletize product as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Previous forklift operation experience
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
- High school diploma or GED
- Manufacturing experience
- Experience using scanner equipment
Physical Requirements
Applicants must be able to:
- Sit for 8+ hours per shift
- Balance, bend, crouch, kneel, stand, walk, stoop, and reach above shoulders for 6+ hours
- Work in dusty, high‑heat, humid environments for 3+ hours
- Perform grasping, pushing, pulling, fine manipulation, and tactile tasks for 8+ hours
- Operate foot pedals for 8+ hours
- Lift up to 50 lbs for 6+ hours
- Distinguish sounds, communicate clearly, and visually identify objects/equipment
