The Director, Function Team Development will be based out of our Dallas, TX location! (Hybrid)

Director Function Team Development Role

Responsible for leading talent development and management for assigned client groups to create a future-ready talent pipeline.  Analyze data to understand challenges and develop and implement learning and talent initiatives, which maximize employee productivity, performance, and engagement.  Client groups included but are not limited to Strategy, Finance, Human Resources, Digital & Information Technology, Legal, Supplier Relations, Operations, and Rexel's Specialty Businesses. 

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data and assess needs to understand challenges regarding workforce capability, skills, and talent planning.  Provide guidance on learning trends and resources to support a learning culture. 
  • Serve as a partner to business leaders for learning and development, talent management, and change management.  Develop and implement strategies that build talent, enhance skills, and support business transformation.
  • Collaborate with national Talent Development and Region Team Development Directors to develop and rollout national development programs, including, onboarding, leadership programs, digital learning, environmental and social sustainability, and other skills-based initiatives. 
  • Plan and lead compliance and mandatory training including coordination and communication with internal stakeholders and Learning Platforms Manager to ensure effective and timely implementation.
  • Partner with HR Director to implement talent review strategy for client groups.  Lead and/or participate in talent review meetings to outline talent and succession pipeline. Lead development planning efforts for top talent.
  • Outline, track, and follow up on development programs and related activities.  Monitor course completions, metrics, and program feedback.  Correspond with learners through various mediums to build efficiency and engagement.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree / Master's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 10 years experience in Business, Human Resources, Learning Development, and Talent Management

Working Arrangements:

  • Hybrid with three days per week in the Dallas HQ office with up to 10% travel
