Description

• Work with terminals and shops to maintain 100% compliance within various federal/provincial regulations and company policies
• Conduct mechanic training as required by company policy and regulatory agencies
• Inspect company equipment to ensure compliance and inspect other fleets for assessing the material condition
• Inspect and approve outside vendors for quality and compliance with company procedures
• Work with terminals, shops, and outside vendors to complete all  maintenance in a timely, cost-effective manner 
• Provide purchase orders within authorization limits

Skill/Knowledge Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of management experience managing a regional fleet or similar capacity
• Two years DOT HM-183/B620 training or experience
• Knowledge of DOT requirements
• Proven track record managing multiple locations and employees
• Good communication skills and ability to deal with people
• Solid experience with employee relations, safety rules, and procedures and government regulations
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; experience with TMT desirable
• Strong knowledge of tractors and bulk liquid/dry trailers preferred
