WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Staff Accountant will assist with month-end close procedures including journal entries, general ledger review and account reconciliations.This position will be tasked with fixed asset accounting and bank reconciliations.The Staff Accountant will also assist with accounts payable activity for raw chemicals and drop ship chemicals.This position will also generate reports from Microsoft D365, Solver and Tableau as needed for management information requests regarding financial activity for Safe Foods Chemical Innovations-NLR.
- Calculate journal entries each month and enter into the Microsoft D365 ERP system.Account reconciliation files will need to be maintained to be able to quickly identify and explain activity and balances in specific balance sheet accounts.
- Become familiar with general ledger activity for assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts to be able to identify any non-conformances.
- Maintain fixed asset records in Microsoft D365 including entering acquisitions, disposals and monthly depreciation.
- Reconcile fixed asset GL accounts to ensure Microsoft D365 fixed asset and general ledger modules stay in sync.
- Coordinate customer loaned equipment activity with Fabrication and Inventory Management groups and enter inventory movement journals to Microsoft D365 as needed.
- Monitor monthly bank activity and record special activities to the general ledger as needed.
- Reconcile all bank accounts periodically throughout each month and ensure period end balances tie between the bank and the Microsoft D365 ERP system.
- Monitor raw chemical vendor and drop-ship chemical activity and ensure invoices are entered into the ERP system in a timely manner.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports from D365, Solver and Tableau as needed to provide management with financial information as requested.
YOUR MUST HAVES:
As a Staff Accountant for Safe Foods Chemical Innovations you must be detail-oriented and have a high level of personal and professional integrity.You should have a strong desire to learn and love solving problems.In this role, we require:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Accounting related field
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting
WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:
Additional skills, qualities, or experience that would help you be successful in this role will include:
- Experience with Microsoft D365 or related ERP software
- Experience with fixed asset accounting and/or cash accounting activities
