We are looking for a strategic and experienced Logistics Director to lead our supply chain operations and ensure the seamless delivery of goods and services. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

To perform this job successfully, one must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

  • Develop and implement strategic supply chain plans and processes to establish a resilient supply chain.
  • Monitor, evaluate and improve the performance of all logistics, storage, and order fulfillment processes.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with all 3rd party freight, storage, and logistics providers.
  • Accountable for cost and efficiency control on over $15M annual spend.
  • Monitor transportation and storage costs and ensure quality of deliveries.
  • Identify areas for improvement and cost-savings.
  • Develop, implement, and review logistics and warehousing policies and procedures, including those related to order fulfillment.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Build, maintain, and manage a team of professionals capable of consistently discharging the duties of their respective positions and achieving company KPI's.
  • Create and maintain robust policies and procedures to ensure high reliability for growing customer slate.
  • Continuously evaluate geographic storage locations and update plans as needed.
  • Establish department KPI's for productivity, speed, and order accuracy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

YOUR MUST HAVES:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics/warehousing and supply chain management, including people management.
  • 10+ years in logistics and/or warehouse operations.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics and warehousing processes, systems, and regulations.
  • Strong negotiation and people skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to motivate and manage teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Able to travel domestically.
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Excellent prioritization and multi-tasking skills.

WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:

  • 5+ years of budgeting experience and managing budgets.
  • 5+ years of inventory control and warehouse management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing 3rd party carriers (in-bound and out-bound freight).
  • 5+ years of experience managing 3rd party warehouses
  • Proven ability to consistently deliver on KPI's.
  • 5+ years of experience managing other managers and/or supervisors.
  • 5+ years of experience in analyzing metrics.

OUR ENVIRONMENT:

Primary work environment for this position will be in an office setting, but duties will occasionally require activities to be discharged from a warehouse environment.This position will manage team members in multiple locations (Kieler, WI and North Little Rock, AR) and third parties relationships.
