The individual in this position is responsible for learning and understanding the sales process and capabilities of Power Systems AHS. The individual will be involved in all business aspects of value added distribution from shipping and receiving up through engineering and customer sales.  Key projects and support responsibilities will be an important part of this role.

The internship program is flexible and hours can be established to accommodate the student's class schedule.  The expectation is that the intern will be full-time (40 hrs/week) in the summer and part-time during the winter/spring (being able to work 16-24 hrs/week).   This position could involve limited travel during the summer (domestic only). 

Essential Job Functions

  • Weekly check ins with hiring manager
  • Complete warehouse functions to understand product flow and basic distribution principals
  • Spend time in value added assembly areas to include Fluid Conveyance, Manifold, Power Unit, Conversions, and Electronics.  Display competency in understanding manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Support purchasing functions to gain knowledge of supplier interaction and purchasing patterns and options.
  • Work with inside sales/customer service to support customer requirements.  Time spent to include: open order review, pricing options and matrix, new order entry, RMA process, supplier expediting, production priority
  • Spend time with engineering for manifolds/power units and electronic controls.  Demonstrate an understanding of the project process and ability to conduct professionally within the capabilities of the team
  • Accompany Account Managers on customer visits and support sales activities
  • Understand the sales funnel and its use in the sales process

POSITION REQUIREMENTS              

  • Highschool diploma
  • Pursuing a Fluid Power technical degree
  • Eligibility to work in the US

Preferred:General knowledge of Fluid Power terminology, concepts, and practices
