Description

The Quality Inspector will ensure product and/or product components comply with specifications and quality standards. This position will test and inspect products against performance and integrity criteria to ensure product quality and reliability.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Inspect purchased materials, components, and in-process products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests. Communicates quality concerns to supervisor and production group lead.
  • May prepare and submit change requests.
  • Initiate NC's and participate in product disposition for nonconforming material.
  • Initiate CAPA's as required.
  • Assist with performing analysis, inspection, troubleshooting and testing of products or components identified as non-conforming during in-process and final inspection.
  • Resolve job related issues promptly in a manner that promotes harmony and aligns with the company's objectives and goals.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve the business and perform other duties as needed.
  • Identify areas of improvement and participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Support all Divisional initiatives as identified by divisional management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Operate a standard pallet jack to lift and transport items to and from the quality control area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1-3 years of related experience
  • Previous experience reading inspection processes and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • ASQ certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, Access, ERP, and other applicable software
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, procedures, drawings, and other materials related to the position.
  • Ability to use a microscope and various measuring tools like a ruler, micrometer, caliper, etc.
  • Ability to interpret dimensional requirements on drawings and specifications (GD&T)
  • Ability to lift and move 40 pounds safely from pallet level.
