Position Summary   PMA is currently seeking a Senior Project Scheduler for an exclusive assignment supporting the $2.0 billion Newark AirTran Program. The Senior Project Scheduler will be an onsite role located at Newark Liberty International Airport.   The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and team-building skills along with the ability to work independently, collaboratively, and with full transparency, as required by the client/project. In addition, you must be knowledgeable and responsible for developing, reviewing, reporting, and supervising construction schedules. Responsibilities include:

    • Develop, update, and maintain schedules (cost and resource loaded, if required).
    • Perform schedule reviews, and prepare weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly schedule update analysis reports, investigate and analyze schedule impacts, and recommend corrective action plans to be taken to mitigate/avoid cost and schedule overruns.
    • Monitor, review, and report to senior and executive management the schedule status of the project.
    • Represent the project in meetings with the owner, A/E representatives, and other contractors, as required.
    • Develop “what-if” schedule scenarios, mitigation schedules, look-ahead schedules, and time impact analyses.
    • Identify schedule issues, opportunities, and corrective actions to mitigate potential delays to projects.
Position Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or construction management required.
    • 5+ years of experience in planning and scheduling/project controls/program controls on multiple sides of the business (e.g., consultant, owner, owner rep, contract/architect, contractor, engineer) required.
    • Field experience preferred.
    • Experience in transportation programs preferred.
    • Proficient using Primavera P6, MS Project, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the preparation, and development of resource-loaded design and construction schedules using the Critical Path Method (CPM) required.
    • Relevant construction scheduling experience in planning, scheduling, expediting, maintaining, and reporting the progress/status of work required.
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills required.
    • Understanding of construction and construction means and methods required.
    • Must be an excellent multi-tasker, detail-orientated, independent self-starter with good writing skills who can communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
