Position Summary
The Project Controls /Schedule Analyst plays an essential role for a key client in the Chicago area, supporting a portfolio of projects within a major pipeline infrastructure improvement program. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules; supporting project managers and other teams with insights into schedule performance; and contributing to continuous improvement by identifying enhanced scheduling processes, tools, and methodologies for efficiency and effectiveness. Duties & Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain sound, CPM logic-based, quantity-loaded project schedules used to manage workflow across the project life cycle.
    • Lead the initial development of a project schedule and time-phased plan using Oracle Primavera P6, company standard project templates, and input from the Project Management Team.
    • Attend and co-lead recurring project meetings to collect project status information.
    • Update project schedules on a weekly to bi-weekly basis.
    • Coordinate with internal departments and external organizations to obtain and report information.
    • Continuously analyze projects throughout the project life cycle, providing drivers to schedule variances and offering impact analysis/mitigation strategies for changes that occur.
    • Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reports used to evaluate and measure schedule, project, and program performance.
    • Participate in initiatives for process improvement.
    • Contribute to the development and maintenance of detailed process guides related to the overall schedule management process, tasks, and deliverables.
    • Provide guidance and training to junior-level staff.
Position Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field
    • Proven experience (2-5 years) in schedule analysis, project management, or related role
    • Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or similar tools
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
