In collaboration with Home Office Education, contemporize clinical education practices (systems and processes) across all disciplines and campuses. Lead the professional development of the Clinical Directors (DCEs) and Certificate Lead Faculty related to clinical education management. In collaboration with the Clinical Employer Services Manager, support the work of the Education Department by facilitating clinical education that is innovative, flexible, and matched to the needs of both the student and employer.

You'll lead the modernization of clinical education practices across all disciplines and campuses, fostering professional growth among Clinical Directors and Certificate Lead Faculty. Collaborate with our talented Clinical Employer Services Manager to create innovative, flexible clinical education solutions that meet the needs of both students and employers.

 

We are hiring candidates who can work on-site when not traveling at the following locations: Denver, CO Corporate | Mesa,AZ Corporate | Tucson, AZ Corporate

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for Clinical Education (CE) that clearly articulates the value proposition for both partnering employers and prospective students
  • Assist the development of new and transplant programs by cultivating clinical education capacity and agreements
  • Oversee, annually review, and strengthen all clinical education affiliations for certificate and degree programs
  • Organize training and development opportunities for clinical instructors, preceptors, and employers that lead to strengthening connections with PMI
  • Assess the current clinical capacity by campus and program pillar to ensure alignment with educational and operational needs
  • Enhance communication by setting clear expectations and implementing an early-response system across PMI to ensure timely compliance with clinical education requirements
  • Establish campus-specific contingency plans, including a clinical education 'bench,' to exceed budget targets and effectively accommodate student requests
  • Equip the Clinical Director (DCE) and Lead Faculty with the skills and competencies to conduct effective site visits and foster strong, sustainable partnerships with employers
  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and onboarding degree program DCEs
  • Support and mentor the Clinical Employer Services Manager, DCEs, Certificate Lead Faculty, and Clinical Education Support Staff
  • Create and implement an internal professional development plan for DCEs and Certificate Lead Faculty
  • Schedule regular interactions (calls, virtual, or in-person meetings) with campus academic leadership to communicate Clinical Education information and initiatives
  • Cultivate and pursue clinical education opportunities that align with industry partnerships and contribute to the mission and vision of PMI
  • Collaborate with PMI Departments to facilitate and endorse high school partnerships across the PMI system.
  • Bring clinical education expertise to all partnership development
  • Provide oversight for the acquisition and management of clinical education affiliation agreements for all disciplines at PMI
  • Communicate and collaborate with Regulatory on clinical education compliance
  • Provide outstanding customer service by being highly visible, responsive, and attentive to internal and external stakeholders' needs and inquiries by proactively prompting, reacting, and assisting in resolution
  • Support Home Office Educational Director in mission-related growth including faculty development, student success, grant authorship, and other innovative academic initiatives

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's degree in education, health professions, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Ten years of higher education leadership/professional management experience
  • Ten years of classroom teaching experience in health professions education
  • Five years of demonstrated successful experience fostering relationships with clinical education/fieldwork sites
  • Expertise with clinical tracking systems and assessment methodologies in clinical education
  • Highly efficient use of educational technology tools and computer/internet applications
  • Demonstrated development of clinical education faculty, site clinical instructors/preceptors
  • Effective communicator to a diverse audience in 1:1 and group interactions/presentations
  • Proven leadership in change management within clinical education
  • Active in health professions scholarship, professional organization leadership, local workforce boards, or research/grant authorship
  • Ability to travel to the corporate office and PMI campuses on a regular cadence

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • EdD, PhD, DHSC, DSc
