Position Summary

The role of the Manager-Implementations will manage and coordinate the transfer/centralization of key fleet activities from field locations or related to new customer startups into our TSS center, while also developing KPI metrics and training material for the TSS team. Specific responsibilities include formalization and active management of project plans, clarifying timelines, milestones, goals and ownership, identifying and leading process improvement/centralization, technology implementation, and training activities at multi-site, complex operations. Such efforts will require cross-function involvement with TSS, Logistics Technology, Operations, Safety, Finance, and Human Resources. Will lead regular meetings to ensure effectiveness of plan, cost implications and compliance.

Major Responsibilities

• TSS Centralization

  • Prioritize non-TSS locations for centralization
  • Schedule and facilitate centralization of existing locations
  • Coordinate resources to ensure centralization efforts are supported in the field and in TSS
  • Recon any opportunities to centralize non-Fleet Manager tasks

• DCC Start Ups (Multi-site/complex operations)

  • Overall project management
  • Fleet Manager (FM) implementation
  • Driver Training
  • TSS Training
  • Identify centralization opportunities

• Develop and provide ongoing Fleet Manager training

• Assist in Improving Fleet Manager compliance metrics

• Other projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field preferred

• PMP certification preferred or willingness to work towards obtaining PMP upon offer into the role

• 5 years of experience working in a logistics, operations, or supply chain environment required

• 3 years of experience working in a project management role preferred

• Project Management experience preferred

• Experience using Project Management programs such as SmartSheet or Microsoft Project preferred

• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred

• Process improvement / change management experience preferred

• Intermediate level of financial literacy preferred

• Strong leadership skills required

• Ability to independently solve problems & make decisions required

• Must have strong communication and time management skills

• Must have a strong sense of ownership

• Must be able to adapt to change

• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the hours necessary to accomplish the job duties, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.
