Position Summary:

The Analyst - Audit position is an integral member of the Fleet Services / Operating Tax Department. This position works in a team environment that retrieves and analyzes data to support tax audits on behalf of Penske, Penske customers, and Penske affiliates.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyze, and prepare data sets to accurately support tax audits and functional inquiries
  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously involving cross-functional teams to support process improvements
  • Database tool utilization and management to drive process efficiencies
  • Utilize, maintain, and enhance developed database tools
  • Support the development of new methods and tools utilized to extract, analyze, and present data
  • Resolve underlying causes of process defects that arise through the various channels of data exchange
  • Implement remediation steps resulting from audit discovery that will mitigate future audit exposure
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • Project management
  • Experience with business analysis, process mapping, and new process design projects
  • Attention to detail with advanced research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to establish and adhere to multiple project timelines and priorities
  • Communication
  • Strong and adaptable communication skills required
  • Effective presentation skills with the ability to present information to, and field questions from Senior Management
  • Analytical tools proficiency
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and other technologies that support data extraction, normalization, and presentation
  • Proven aptitude to query and perform data analysis within an IBM i or AS400 system preferred
  • Experience with workflow and project management systems is preferred
