Overview

Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Greater Nashville MFM Practice!



Responsibilities

The Greater Nashville MFM practice, an affiliate of MEDNAX, has an exciting opportunity for a full-time, experienced Women's Health NP to join our well-established consultative maternal-fetal medicine practice providing high-risk OB care.

  • Consultative practice with three MFM physicians covering three locations in the Nashville and the surrounding areas
  • No weekend call! Monday-Friday work schedule 8 am-4 pm
  • Work alongside experienced MFMs to co-manage high-risk patients with diabetes, pre-term labor, preeclampsia, obesity, hypertension, thyroid disorder, multiples and fetal congenital anomalies, and more!
  • Pediatric sub-specialty support available. The practice is affiliated with (HCA) TriStar Hospital system


Qualifications

  • Current APRN national specialty certification
  • Minimum of a master's degree
  • Current licensure as RN in State of Tennessee is a PLUS
  • Current APRN national specialty certification
  • Minimum of a master's degree
  • Current licensure as RN in State of Tennessee is a PLUS
  • One (1) year of recent experience as an NP in Women's Health or three (3) or more years of experience nursing in the field of Women's Health prior to NP certification is preferred, will consider new graduates
  • BLS/CPR certification at the time of hire
  • Demonstrated ability to independently work and make clinical assessment
  • Initiative and mature judgment required; can work without direct supervision; shows professional interest through self-development, continuing education, and involvement in professional organizations; always presents a positive attitude and professional appearance
  • Ability to give and follow written and oral instructions; ability to communicate effectively with others including patients and staff
  • Ability to exercise analytical judgment on work to be done; ability to plan and organize work for self and others
