Description

This position is not eligible for sponsorship and Paycom is unable to support an optional or curricular practical training (OPT/CPT) program. Paycom is interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States.

The maintenance technician conducts repairs and preventative care of the buildings. The maintenance technician assists with repair requests including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting and other building systems as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate repair tickets or emails to determine maintenance or repairs required, delegate or assist with repairs as needed
  • Facilitate set up of new office furniture upon request from the business
  • Supports continued upkeep of shared spaces (cafés, break rooms, restrooms, courtyard)
  • Shadows vendors while on-site
  • Execute tasks in extreme weather elements (rain, snow, ice)
  • Comfortable with on-call rotations
  • Ability to flex schedule dependent on business needs
  • Regular and punctual attendance is required
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Education/Certification:

  • High school diploma or GED

Experience:

  • 1+ year of facility maintenance experience
  • Basic knowledge of tools and repairs

Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical and HVAC
  • Ability to identify issues and determine necessary repairs
  • Proficient in Windows, MS Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel) and quick to learn new applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach
  • Ability to learn computer programs utilized by Paycom
  • Self-sufficient, motivated, and able to work independently and as part of team
