We're currently accepting applications for Casual Security Guards to join our Campbell River portfolio! This is a great opportunity to work at a variety of sites and be part of a supportive, professional team. If you're people-smart, customer-focused, and enjoy staying active, this could be the perfect fit for you!

Some sites are large, so you'll definitely get your steps in! The role can be physically active and requires availability to work mornings, days, nights, and/or weekends.

Wage: $19–$21 per hour (site dependent)

• Provide exceptional customer service and build positive relationships with clients, tenants, and the public
• Write clear, detailed reports (incident, emergency, liability, and daily activity reports)
• Watch for and report irregularities such as security breaches, safety hazards, and emergencies — and contact emergency responders when needed
• Provide first aid and medical response when required
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of people, property, and equipment
• Use phone and computer applications to communicate site activity

What Makes You a Great Fit (Core Competencies):

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent customer service mindset
• Solid understanding of non-violent crisis intervention and de-escalation
• Sharp observation skills
• Ability to stay calm, make quick decisions, and work independently during emergencies

• Valid BC Security Licence
• Class 5 or Class 7N BC Driver's Licence (required for Mobile Patrol)
• 6 months of security experience and/or 6 months of customer service experience is an asset
• OFA Level 1 or higher is an asset
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Good physical fitness - ability to walk for extended periods (most sites)
