Position: Mobile Patrol Guard
Site: Mobile Department
City: Oshawa Region
Status: Part Time
Hours: Saturday & Sunday (2000 - 0400)
Pay Rate: $20.00 /hr.
Overtime: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Position Summary:
The Mobile Patrol Security Guard is responsible for conducting scheduled and random patrols across multiple sites to ensure the safety and security of client properties during overnight hours. This role requires strong observational skills, reliability, and the ability to respond effectively to incidents both independently and in a team setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct mobile patrols of assigned properties in accordance with site schedules and client requirements
- Perform exterior and/or interior inspections to identify security risks, safety hazards, or suspicious activity
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents in a timely and professional manner
- Lock and unlock buildings, gates, and access points as required
- Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and emergency services when required
- Enforce property rules, regulations, and applicable laws
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with tenants, clients, and the public
Working Conditions:
- Night shift (typically 2200–0600 or similar overnight hours)
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Driving for extended periods between multiple sites
- Independent work with minimal supervision
- Patrolling vacant properties in challenging, high-risk/unfavourable areas on an independent basis
Requirements:
- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
- Must possess a valid G Class license with a minimum driving experience of 3 years
- Previous security experience is an asset
- Post Secondary education in a Law Enforcement/Security program from a recognized college
- Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health
- Must provide drivers abstract. No more than 2 minor convictions, no major convictions, and no more than 6 demerits in the last three years.
- All successful applicants must undergo a vulnerable sector check
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
