SALARY
: Grade 20 $63,107 NEGOTIABLE- Depending on Education and Experience

POSITION SUMMARY: The Market Research Analyst plays a critical role in driving operational excellence by analyzing complex data sets, identifying performance trends, and recommending actionable improvements across business functions. This position supports strategic initiatives by delivering insights that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize processes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, maintain, and facilitate effective relationships, communications processes and activities with all Operations personnel and all other internal and external customers.
  • Collaborate with various departments to create, update, and deliver information, that improves overall productivity and customer service.
  • Attend all meetings as needed including facilitating scheduled meetings with gaming departments as needed.
  • Analyze, research, prepare, and create databases and spreadsheets utilizing assorted software i.e. Excel, Business Intelligence (BI), Casino Marketing Place (CMP), Alteryx, Tableau.
  • Learn and utilize new software under the direction of Senior Operations Analyst and Analytics Operations Manager.
  • Assist supervisors and coworkers with Ad Hoc Reports and present to Senior Management on a regular basis.  Complete and provide all needed reports within set timelines.
  • Assist Marketing Department with survey data for customer and employee engagement.
  • Develop resources, organize, facilitate, prepare, and conduct presentations on projects to Management.
  • Assist with the creation of the Marketing Calendar and Marketing Plan.
  • Assist with budgets and expenses for Operations area.
  • Work closely with Promotions Department to execute Promotions and Direct Mail strategies.
  • Analyze KPIs within Operations area and make recommendations.
  • Adhere to all Tribal Personnel Policies and Procedures, Tribal Standard Operating Procedures, and Area and Program Strategic Plans and Policies.
  • Maintain strict department security, confidentiality, and quality to meet professional standards of the department.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge of the gaming division, its governing structure, documents and relationship to the Oneida Nation.
  • Knowledge of budget preparation.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of public relations, promotions, and marketing in a customer service-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of creating and analyzing spreadsheets, data analysis and various system data.
  • Skill in producing events and promotions.
  • Skill in analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Skill in interpreting statistics and forecasting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to represent the organization in a professional manner, building respect and confidence.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in verbal or written format.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate and deal effectively with the public
  • Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Frequently walk, sit, and stand.  
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
  • Work is generally performed in an office setting with a moderate noise level.
  • Ability to work extended hours and various work schedules.
  • Work environment may NOT be smoke, noise, or dust free

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.   
  2. Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or Communications; three (3) years' experience in marketing, event planning or promotions; one (1) year project management experience: one (1) year database experience: an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 
  3. Proficiency in Excel.
