Salary is Negotiable

After successful completion of the probationary period, employee will receive off probation wage increase.


Summary:

Perform and/or oversee a variety of associated administrative, fiscal, personnel support, and planning activities, some of which require advanced or specialized knowledge and skills, such as budget administration and control, equipment, facilities, and inventory management, specialized recordkeeping, database management, and/or specified information-gathering projects and tasks. Coordinate and facilitate meetings, program functions, and/or special events, as appropriate.


Responsibilities:

* Answer incoming telephone calls; determine purpose of calls, and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department, ensuring professional telephone etiquette.
* Receive, sort, log, and route mail
* Welcome visitors determine nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel, demonstrate excellent customer service, while maintaining professional and courteous demeanor.
* Notify department staff, warden, and/or Police Department of harvest violate complaints, environmental law violation, ATV law complaints, and nuisance animal complaints.
* Organize hunting season events, to include safely class registration, issuing hunting and fishing licenses, ordering license materials and pamphlets, assisting in natural resource registration and arranging deliveries for natural resource stocking efforts.
* Create materials for special events and projects; design flyers, brochures, certificates, and booklets as requested.
* Assist in coordinating request for services, scope of work development, and contract approval.
* Process purchase orders, contracts, accounts payables, requisitions, and training and travel requests.
* Prepares correspondence, reports, minutes, agendas, memos, forms, directories, resolutions, ordinances, and other documents and communications from drafts, recordings, or verbal instruction as requested.
* Edit and review all correspondence and documents for correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
* Schedule department events and activities; manage department and/or manager's calendar.
* Conduct research to resolve operational questions or issues; make recommendations to enhance the efficiency of administrative operations.
* Establish and maintain an effective filing and retrieval system
* Maintain and operate office machines, equipment, and computers. Perform or coordinate general maintenance and repair
* Maintain inventory of office supplies.
* Contribute to a team effort and accomplish related results as required

Competencies and skills:
Essential:
* Ability to carry out instructions furnished in verbal or written format
* Knowledge of business English, proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation, and basic math
* Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing
* Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds and with vendors and co-workers at all levels
* Ability to represent the organization in a professional manner, building respect and confidence.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* Ability to write clear and concise reports, memoranda, directives, and letters
* Knowledge, experience, and skills operating a personal computer with word-processing, spreadsheet, and database software programs in a windows environment pertaining to leasing/various real estate information
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Knowledge of records management and basic accounting procedures including budgeting
* Ability to interpret applicable federal, state, county and local laws, regulations, and requirements

* General Ed, High School Equivalency Diploma, HS Diploma

* Associates Degree

Must be willing and able to obtain additional related education and training.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.

Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
