Job Description Summary

 

The Sales Manager, Hardscapes, will be responsible for coaching and directing the Hardscapes Sales Representatives with regard to providing sales coverage and developing the best possible market strategies for our product offering, while increasing sales volume and company revenue.

 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with the customer base to include existing and prospective customers
  • Work with the outside sales reps on daily basis and make joint calls/ride along on a bi-weekly basis
  • Work with the team on using/training on Salesforce.com
  • Conduct product knowledge seminars for customers, distributors and sales staff
  • Attend industry and associations trade shows
  • Maintain and increase sales volume with established accounts
  • Implement planned sales strategies and company marketing programs
  • Participate in the development of sales forecast within assigned territory
  • Aggressively carry out marketing programs and participate in product test programs
  • Attend and participate in company sales meetings, training programs and assigned trade shows
  • Prepare presentations and reports for regional meetings, product knowledge training sessions and new product field test
  • Evaluate competitive situations and develop specific strategies to obtain the business
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business (Marketing) or 5+ years' experience in general management or sales management; or equivalent in education, training and experience
  • General business knowledge and understanding of the industry - products, trends, market drivers and specifications
  • Knowledge of construction process and phases of project delivery form conception completion
  • Excellent sales, negotiation and customer service skills
  • Ability to conduct product knowledge seminars to train employees, customers and distributors
  • Ability to analyze and compare technical data and specifications engineering community
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Must be able to travel in the territory 50% of the time
