We are looking for a talented investor with strong due diligence skills and experience across private markets, including private equity, private credit, and real assets, as we significantly build out our private market investment program over the next several years and beyond.  The successful candidate will work directly with the Chief Investment Officer and will be fully engaged in all aspects of the investment process, including pacing, sourcing, due diligence, monitoring, and performance analysis.  S/he will have strong written, communication, and presentation skills and will serve as the primary liaison with our investment consulting team to vet and present recommendations to our Committee for final approval.  The role will be an impactful one, with a direct and meaningful influence on a $12 billion investment program.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Recommends selection of private market funds across all asset classes, including detailed review and monitoring of investment and operational due diligence reports.
  • Oversees sourcing efforts, pipeline reviews, and pacing studies designed to build and maintain a well-diversified, best-in-class private markets investment program.
  • Serves as key relationship manager with general partners and independent investment consultants on behalf of the investment team.
  • Completes quantitative and qualitative assessment of general partners and strategies typically included in comprehensive investment and operational due diligence processes.
  • Monitors and evaluates investment performance and attribution across a wide range of metrics including, but not limited to, peer, sector, subsector, and vintage year IRR and MOIC analysis, as well as public market equivalent analysis.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, business administration, or accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience in all private markets asset classes and industry practices, including experience working with a wide range of general partners and across various investment strategies.
  • Experience directing investment consultant workflow and critically evaluating due diligence work product, including oversight of sourcing efforts and pacing analyses.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate complex private market investment strategies, including case study and investment underwriting analyses, to determine the value of inclusion in the investment programs.

Preferred Qualifications (0 – 2 bullets)

  • Master's degree, CFA and/or CAIA (or progress towards) are strongly preferred.

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
