Description
At NorthBay Health, the Rad Tech I will work under the supervision of the Supervisor.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
- Performs radiographic examinations in accordance to established protocols. Subject to periodic evaluation by Supervisor for quality control.
- Assists and instructs patients prior and during examinations.
- Responsible for evaluating each study to ensure it meets required quality standards.
- Responsible for patient safety and wellbeing during examinations.
- Responsible for inspecting and cleaning equipment prior to use.
- Reports to outpatient supervisor equipment failures and/or malfunctions.
- Reports all patient complaints, discrepancies and drug reactions according to QA policies.
- Responsible for producing images, burning CD and, organizing paperwork and completing requisition data.
- Works in other areas of department such as: front office, etc.
- Assists other modalities as time allows.
- Other duties as assigned.
Hourly Pay Range: $51.42 - $62.53 (Step Progression Schedule - Offer to commensurate years of experience)
FTE: 1.0
Shift: Evenings
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Graduate of an AMA approved radiology course.
- California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) required, ARRT required.
- Current AHA or equivalent healthcare provider BLS Certification required.
- Less than one year of experience in general radiology. New Rad Tech grads welcome to apply.
- Basic clerical and computer experience.
PREFERRED:
- High school preferred.
