Description

At NorthBay Health the Quality Coordinator works under the supervision of the Quality Manager to provide service line support to NorthBay Healthcare.  Acts as a resource for department, administration, medical staff, and hospital personnel in areas related to Quality.  Responsible for, designing, conducting and reporting clinical and operational studies, surveys, and reports to improve the quality and safety of patient care. Abstracts complex clinical data and is able to input into a variety of databases and information systems. Coordinates analyst and review personnel team members to retrieve high quality data from which to create reports and operational reviews. Submits reports and reviews in a complete, final and timely manner. Utilizes appropriate graphical, presentation and statistical analysis in completion and dissemination of assigned studies

JOB DUTIES

  5. Project manages assigned service lines and projects including: design, coordination and timely delivery of studies, surveys and reports, presentations, education and facilitation with medical staff committees, hospital and outpatient teams and departments and the quality department.  Presents deliverables to appropriate stakeholders and facilitates the development of improvement initiatives. 
  6. Formulates and prepares a quarterly/annual summary of products/projects for the QI Committee, quarterly reports and dashboards. Required to report out to various committees within service line as requested with attendance and reporting/presentation at least quarterly.
  7. Utilizes system wide information systems, departmental programs, external data reporting systems and individual software/data bases for the management of QI data, information, activities and reports.
  8. Independently and in collaboration with work team's designs, conducts, analyzes and coordinates studies/reports in support of QI work plans.
  9. Coordinates with Medical Staff personnel to facilitate and develop agendas, packets and presentations and participate in the development of QI goals for designated medical staff committees, hospital group teams, councils and committees.
  10. Analyzes, interprets, summarizes and suggests opportunities for various statistical reports for Medical Staff department meetings and the Quality Improvement Committee, and others as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN is required (excludes those employees grandfathered as outlined in March 2014 letter). Master's preferred.
  2. Licensure: Current California RN licensure required.  Certified Professional in Health Care Quality (CPHQ) required within 3 years of hire. Ability to travel between facility and work sites
  3. Experience: Three years of acute care experience required. Minimum of three years of hospital-based performance improvement experience preferred.  Two years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred. 
  4. Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills required.  Must possess teaching ability, leadership ability, and high professional standards. 

Compensation :$87.56-95.52 Base on Years of Experience
