At NorthBay Health, the Orthopedics, Podiatry Practice Manager provides operational, and financial leadership for a growing, multi-site orthopedic service line. This role is responsible for advancing access to care, driving innovative care models, and ensuring exceptional patient outcomes through high-performing, team-based care delivery. The Practice Manager partners closely with physician leaders, clinical teams, and system stakeholders to scale services, optimize workflows, and deliver a best-in-class orthopedic patient experience across all locations.
The Practice Manager Ortho, Podiatry is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the assigned clinic(s). The Practice Manager's responsibilities include oversight of practice operations, hiring and development of personnel, ensuring continuity of services, compliance with regulatory and professional standards, and fostering collaborative interdisciplinary relationships among providers and staff. The Practice Manager is accountable for delivering excellent customer service, efficient patient flow, and operational efficiency within their clinic(s). Additionally, the Practice Manager provides team leadership to create an exceptional patient experience, ensuring that employees are engaged and equipped to deliver quality, compassionate patient care. The Practice Manager will collaborate with other providers and health team members across the patient care continuum to advocate on behalf of patients between inpatient and outpatient care environments. The Practice Manager is responsible for monitoring and auditing operations to ensure adherence to regulatory and professional standards.
Qualifications
Education:
- Baccalaureate Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or Management required or minimum of 8 years of healthcare management experience.
- Masters degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive supervisory experience or project management in an ambulatory care/medical practice setting preferred.
- Practice knowledge preferably in orthopedics required.
- Previous experience working with a large group of providers.
- Previous budget accountability and management experience preferred.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Must possess teaching and leadership ability, with high professional standards.
- Must be well organized, be able to set priorities, work independently as an effective team member.
- Demonstrates effective time management skills.
- Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge of healthcare trends, LEAN and healthcare regulatory and compliance initiatives.
Knowledge of EHR preferred. Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliances processes required (Joint Commission, OSHA). Knowledge of MD hospital call scheduling and trauma procedures required.

Compensation:
- Budgeted fixed salary range is $136K - $146K (Offered annual salary based on years of experience)
- Variable compensation, Plan Eligible, up to 15% of the annualized salary
