Description
At NorthBay Health the Nurse Practitioner, Pain Clinic is responsible for the care, assessment and medical management of patients seen in the Center for Pain Management. This includes, but is not limited to, rechecks, medication refills, basic limited exams, diagnostic test orders, referrals and establishes/confirms diagnosis. The Nurse Practitioner prescribes medications, instructs patients about medical conditions, medications and treatment. Provides continuity for patients seen by a Center for Pain Management physician. Collaborates with the patient's primary care provider as needed. In addition, the Nurse Practitioner functions in the role of a case manager, facilitating the coordination of services and plan of care. The Nurse Practitioner may provide telephone guidance to patients. Care is provided in accordance with department policy, procedure and guidelines through the use of standardized procedures and under the direction of the supervising physician and/or Medical Director.

Qualifications
1. Education: Master's required. Graduate of an accredited nursing program including a Nurse Practitioner Program.
2. Licensure/Certifications: Current California licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and Board Certification by the American Nurse Credentialing Center, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. Current California licensure as an ANA Nurse Practitioner. Current AHA or equivalent certification in Healthcare Provider BLS. Maintains a current Furnishing Number for medications. Maintains a current DEA license for schedule 2 drugs and above or can achieve within 60 days of hire.
3. Experience: Minimum of three years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner practicing in a related filed. Minimum of one year Case Management experience in a related health care organization.
4. Skills: Demonstrates ability to evaluate patient's physical and emotional status. Demonstrates ability to provide patient care based on age-related needs. Demonstrates current knowledge and skill in providing appropriate care for patients in the following age groups: Adult, Young Adult, and Geriatric. Demonstrates clear credentials check through the AHP process. Demonstrates ability to clearly set behavioral limits. Ability to use computer, MS Word.

6. Compensation: $89.93- $109.32 per hour based on years of experience in this role.
