Job Description:

Under the leadership of the Clinical Director, the Occupational Therapist is responsible and accountable for providing occupational therapy services to children & youth carrying out interventions to help improve behavioral health and functioning.. Duties include patient evaluation, assessment, treatment planning and implementation, and discharge instructions. The Occupational Therapist will assist in program development within the Ohana Clinical Team, and teaching to families, staff, interns, and community members/services. Important dimensions of this position consist of quality of care, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, good public/customer relations and a broad clinical knowledge.         

 Must have strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, curiosity, high energy, humor and humility. Experience

Must have previous exposure and/or knowledge of adults with mental health and/or chemical dependency diagnosis. Previous experience with the Allen Cognitive model preferred.

Education

As necessary to obtain a CA occupational therapy certification through NBCOT and have passed two, three-month internships.

Must pass orientation and initial competency assessment as well as ongoing required training. 

Licensure/Certifications

Must be licensed by the Occupational Therapy Board of California Certification through NBCOT. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS is required.

Assigned Work Hours:

During open business hours, Monday through Thursday 8am-7pm, Friday 8am-5pm, Saturday 8am-5pm.

Pay Range (based on years of applicable experience):

$52.07

to

$69.64

The hours employees work determine when a shift differential is paid.

Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $3.87 Hourly Night Shift Differential: $5.81
