Job Description:

The Lead Designer is responsible for designing high-quality visual assets that align with the organization's brand and style guidelines as well as communication and marketing objectives. This role requires high proficiency in print and digital graphic design, supports and implements consistent branding efforts and creative direction, and helps enhance and streamline creative production procedures. The Lead Designer collaborates with internal stakeholders, team members, and vendors to deliver relevant and effective visual communications. Strong communication and collaboration skills ensure seamless project execution and cross-functional teamwork.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Creative development and execution — Design visually compelling and brand-aligned marketing and communication materials across multiple channels, including digital, email, social media, print, and environmental graphics; support and implement creative direction, ensuring consistency in visual storytelling and brand representation; assist with brand management initiatives, including executing and directing photography projects, ensuring all creative assets adheres to brand guidelines, reinforcing a cohesive visual identity and ensuring delivery of creative products that demonstrate excellence.
  • Support creative operations and workflow improvement — Identify, recommend, and help implement solutions to enhance creative output and operational efficiency; effectively project manage design production, ensuring timely and cost-effective project execution.
  • Cross-functional teamwork — Collaborate and foster strong relationships with stakeholders, team members, and vendors to align creative output with marketing and communication goals; serve as a strategic design partner to help develop integrated creative assets, demonstrating adaptability and responsiveness to feedback, ensuring alignment with creative projects.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in graphic design, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior design role
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and other industry-standard design tools
  • Strong knowledge of email design best practices, UX/UI principles, and responsive design
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies to oversee design production and workflow improvements
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into compelling visuals and effectively engage with stakeholders
  • Familiarity with digital asset management systems and creative production automation tools

Education

Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field required.
