What you'll be doing as a Telephone Consultant:

  • Delivers stellar telephone service and call resolution to members on a wide array of inquiries by servicing incoming calls and executing transactions within pre-defined service parameters. Serves as a trusted member advisor and advocate taking ownership of the call, using effective problem resolution techniques, and ensuring follow-through to satisfy the member at the point of contact.
  • Handles calls from at least 3 queues gaining proficiency in credit card, online banking / mobile app, consumer loan, knowledge.
  • Creates a positive, dazzling member service experience to both internal and external members by consistently exceeding their expectations in a courteous, knowledgeable, and professional manner.

Who's qualified to be a Telephone Consultant?


Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent is required.


Experience:


Telephone Consultant I

A minimum of six months customer service experience is required. Call center experience including experience with credit unions, banks, or related financial institutions is preferred.


Telephone Consultant II

A minimum of one-year call center or financial institution experience is required. Experience with credit unions or banks is preferred.


Telephone Consultant III

A minimum of three years financial institution or call center experience is required. Experience in credit unions, banks, or a related financial institution is preferred.


Skills & Abilities: Must possess excellent customer service, sales, and verbal and written communication skills along with decision-making and trouble-shooting skills. Very good interpersonal and relationship building skills. Sense of urgency and dependability to work in a high-paced and structured work environment. Ideal candidate would have a positive outlook, meet challenges with a “can-do” attitude and maintain a high level of accountability for the team and self.


Software: Microsoft Office Suite and Internet. Symitar for Windows is preferred.
