Company Overview:
Brook Lane is seeking a visionary and dynamic Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to lead and oversee all psychiatric programs across Meritus Health and Brook Lane who announced plans to merge in July 2024. This role is pivotal in the integration and growth of system-wide behavioral health services, including the development of an industry-leading interventional psychiatry program and the expansion of Brook Lane's inpatient child and adolescent programs. The Brook Lane CMO will be part of a dynamic team responsible for clinical excellence, program integration, and strategic development, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the integration and growth of behavioral health services across Brook Lane and Meritus Health.
- Oversee all psychiatric programs, ensuring clinical excellence and program integration.
- Develop and expand Brook Lane's inpatient child and adolescent programs.
- Establish and grow an interventional psychiatry program.
- Participate in strategic development to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Manage over 80 inpatient beds, including units for adults and children, crisis beds, and a partial hospitalization program.
- Oversee a large outpatient psychiatry practice with sites in three counties and a new psychiatry residency program.
- Lead Laurel Hall Schools for children with emotional disabilities, autism, or other handicaps.
- Drive the organization toward becoming Maryland's premier children's hospital for mental health conditions and a national leader in mental health services.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree with board certification in psychiatry.
- Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience in psychiatry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in developing and leading psychiatric programs.
- Strong strategic thinking and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with interventional psychiatry programs is a plus.
