This role requires proficiency in operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging standards. The Sonographer position also requires a strong commitment to patient care, technical expertise, and collaborative communication with patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care. Career Ladder Opportunities:
Associate Sonographer:
- Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours OR registered sonographer.
- Experience: no experience required.
- Certification: Obtained ARDMS or ARRT or CCI registry OR Registry eligible (Achieve registry within 6 months of eligibility); Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
Sonographer:
- Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours.
- Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience.
- Certification: ARDMS/ARRT/CCI and 2 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area; Basic Life Support (BLS).
Advanced Sonographer:
- Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours.
- Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Certification: ARDMS/ARRT/CCI and 3 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area OR 2 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area and 5 years of applicable experience; Basic Life Support (BLS).
Senior Sonographer:
- Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours.
- Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Certification: ARDMS/ARRT/CCI and 4 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area OR 2 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the applicable work area and 7 years of applicable experience; Basic Life Support (BLS).
